MKFILM SHOWREEL

📍Based in Poznań, Poland. Working with makers, artists, and small brands worldwide.

You don’t need to be “good on camera.”

I’m Maciek—a filmmaker from Poznań, working in a documentary way. Most film shoots expect you to perform: smile on cue, repeat that line, pretend the camera isn’t there.I don’t work like that. When I visit your workshop or studio, I observe. You focus on your work. The camera stays out of the way. No pressure. No acting. No pretending. The result is a film that feels honest—one that shows the heart of your craft, not a version made for the camera.I call this approach Safety Dome. It’s made for makers, artists, and small brands who want authentic films without the stress of being filmed. My background combines documentary practice, visual anthropology, and years of working with people who prefer to let their hands do the talking. If the idea of being filmed makes you uneasy—let’s talk.

Let’s tell stories that stay with people

Real craft. Real people. No performance.

Each film is a collaboration—capturing your process, materials, and story, without asking you to act.

Let’s talk about your project.

Whether you are launching a new collection, documenting a heritage process, or simply need an honest film for your brand, I would love to hear from you.The first step: We start with a low-pressure conversation (online or in person). No sales pitch—just a talk about your work and what you want to show the world. If it feels like a fit, we’ll plan a shoot that respects your space and your rhythm.

What is the Safety Dome approach to filmmaking?
The Safety Dome is a documentary-style filming method that prioritizes observation over direction. I stay in the background, allowing you to focus entirely on your craft. This ensures the final film is honest, rhythmic, and free from the pressure of "performing" for the lens.
Do I need a script to make a brand film?
No. At MKFILM, we believe the most compelling stories are found in the actual process. We don’t use scripts or forced dialogue. Instead, we capture the natural sounds of the workshop and the genuine narrative of your work as it happens.
How do I prepare for a shoot if I am camera-shy?
The best preparation is simply to have work to do. Because the focus is on your hands, your tools, and your process, you don't need to worry about what to say. We create a quiet environment where the camera is a secondary observer.
